Dransky Battle Maps creates detailed animated and static fantasy maps for tabletop role-playing games. They are designed to help Game Masters build atmosphere, make locations easier to understand, and bring encounters to life.
The maps can be used on virtual tabletops, displayed on a TV or projector during an in-person game, or used as static images when animation is not needed.
The maps are system-agnostic. You can use them with Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or almost any other fantasy tabletop RPG that uses encounter maps and locations.
Some map collections are inspired by locations from official adventures. When that is the case, the release description will clearly identify the adventure and the location the map was designed for.

MOV files are intended primarily for TVs, projectors, video editing, and local playback.
WEBM files are optimized for virtual tabletops such as Foundry VTT, Roll20, Alchemy, Owlbear Rodeo, and AboveVTT.
WEBP files are static images. They are useful when your virtual tabletop, browser, or computer cannot play an animated map smoothly, or when you simply prefer a non-animated version.
Static versions are included in supported tiers and releases. They are particularly useful for slower computers, larger scenes, mobile devices, or virtual tabletops with strict file-size limits.
Because the contents can differ between releases, always check the individual post or download description.
Many releases include alternate versions, such as different lighting, weather, environmental conditions, or stages of the same location. The available variants are listed in the release description.
Yes. Every map is supplied in both gridded and gridless versions, regardless of the release. The gridless version is useful if you prefer to configure the grid directly in your virtual tabletop.
Yes. You can use the WEBM or WEBP files as regular scene backgrounds. Many releases also include a dedicated Foundry VTT module with scenes prepared in advance.
Yes. Use the WEBM version when the platform supports animated maps. If the animation does not run smoothly or the platform's upload limits are too restrictive, use the static WEBP version instead.
Individual platforms may have their own file-size, resolution, storage, or subscription restrictions.
Yes. MOV files are prepared for local playback on a TV, monitor, or projector. You can display them directly from a computer or through compatible media software.
Absolutely. You can display a map on a TV or projector, use a static image during an in-person session, or import the files into other software that supports the supplied format.
Yes. You may resize, crop, or make other reasonable adjustments for use in your own games. Keep an untouched copy of the original file in case you need to return to the intended proportions or quality.
Foundry VTT content is available in three ways:
As a Patron, you are guaranteed access to the version of each map included in your membership tier, regardless of which of these access methods you use. Not every individual map or bundle is necessarily available through every channel.
When a Foundry module is available, open its map details page at dranskybattlemaps.com and click Copy Foundry Manifest. In Foundry VTT, open the module installation window, paste the copied URL into the manifest URL field, and start the installation.
After installation, enable the module in your world and import or activate its content as described in the release instructions.

The exact contents depend on the release. A module may include prepared scenes, map files, walls, lighting, doors, and other scene configuration. Check the release description for the features included in a particular module.
No. A Foundry module is available only when it is explicitly listed in the release description. You can still import the supplied WEBM or WEBP files manually and use them as scene backgrounds.
Foundry VTT maps and modules are tested with the latest version of Foundry VTT available at the time of testing or release.
Even if a map or module lists an older Foundry version, it will usually continue to work with newer versions. If you encounter a compatibility problem, contact Dransky Battle Maps and include the map or module name, your Foundry VTT version, and the error message or a screenshot.
Return to the map details page at dranskybattlemaps.com and click Copy Foundry Manifest again. This creates a fresh manifest link. Manifest links are time-limited for security, so an older link may expire even though you still have access to the module.
No. Download and manifest links are intended only for the member or customer who received them. Some links are time-limited and may stop working after a short period.
Use the download links or attachments provided with the release you have access to. Depending on where you obtained the map, this may be a Dransky Battle Maps download page, a Patreon post, or the platform where you purchased the pack.

Tier names, benefits, and the content assigned to each tier may change in the future. The current Patreon membership page and the description of each individual release always provide the most up-to-date information.
Each tier offers a different level of content, as described above. Depending on your membership, this may include static maps, animated maps, perspective or POV illustrations, additional variants, and Foundry VTT content.

Yes. Anything you downloaded to your own device while your membership was active remains available to you, and you may continue using it under the license supplied with the content.
Cancelling your membership only removes access to future releases and to any membership content you did not download before your access ended.
Yes. While your membership is active, you can access and download all maps in the Dransky Battle Maps catalogue within the benefits of your current tier. For example, a Tier 1 member can download the Tier 1 versions of older releases, while higher-tier members can also access the additional formats and variants included in their tiers.
This access applies to the full existing catalogue, not only to maps released after you joined. Tier benefits may change in the future, so the current Patreon membership page and individual release descriptions remain the most up-to-date reference.
Some download links are time-limited for security reasons. Return to the relevant map details page at dranskybattlemaps.com and click Download again to create a fresh link. For a Foundry module, click Copy Foundry Manifest again instead.
If the new link also fails, make sure you are signed in to the correct account and that your membership or purchase grants access to that file.
Usually, no. Return to the relevant map details page at dranskybattlemaps.com and click Download again. If the temporary link expired while the file was downloading, this will create a fresh link so you can restart the download.
Yes. You may use your downloads on your own devices. The files, download links, and manifest links may not be redistributed to other people.
Try the following:
Performance depends on the virtual tabletop, browser, computer, scene configuration, and number of connected players.
Check whether the platform supports the file format and whether your account has an upload-size or storage limit. If the WEBM file is too large, use the static WEBP version or host the file through a method supported by your virtual tabletop.
Some platforms automatically compress or resize uploaded files. Check the platform's recommended scene dimensions and upload limits, and make sure the scene is not being displayed far beyond the file's intended size.
The maps do not include predefined grid dimensions measured in squares, so you will need to scale and align the map manually in your virtual tabletop. Most maps are supplied at 3840 × 2160 px (4K) or 7680 × 4320 px (8K), although the exact resolution may vary.
Set the scene to the image's pixel dimensions first, then adjust your VTT's grid size and offset until the grid lines match. Each platform handles scaling differently, so some manual adjustment may be necessary.
Yes. The maps are created primarily for use in your own tabletop RPG sessions, including games played privately in person or online.
Yes. You may use the maps in commercial and non-commercial streams, videos, recorded sessions, and social media content, provided that you follow the supplied LICENSE and include the required attribution wherever the maps are shown publicly.

You may display and use the maps during your game, including through a shared virtual tabletop. Do not send the original downloadable files, ZIP archives, manifest links, or download links to other people.
Yes. You may crop, resize, add labels, add a grid, or otherwise adapt the maps for your own sessions. Edited files may not be redistributed, uploaded as public downloads, or sold.
Not without separate permission. A membership or pack purchase does not automatically grant redistribution or publishing rights. Contact Dransky Battle Maps with a description of your project before including the maps in a commercial or publicly distributed product.
You may share official Dransky Battle Maps posts and preview images. Do not upload full-resolution maps, downloadable files, ZIP archives, or edited copies as standalone content.
Maps created specifically for official Wizards of the Coast adventures are released as free fan content. The relevant release page explains how to access each map.
No. Dransky Battle Maps is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Maps inspired by official adventures are unofficial fan content created under the applicable fan-content policy.
The goal is to preserve the location's important layout and gameplay function while presenting it as a detailed, atmospheric environment. Some visual interpretation or minor adjustment may be necessary when turning a printed map into a fully realized scene.
